Welcome to Nightshade Designs: A New Chapter Begins!

Hello, fellow book lovers!

I’m Jackie, the owner of Nightshade Designs, a bookish merch shop specializing in all things magical, cozy, and inspired by our favorite fantasy worlds. I am beyond excited to officially launch my website and this blog, where I’ll not only share updates on my shop but also dive into one of my biggest passions—books!

For as long as I can remember (over 30 years now!), reading has been a core part of my life. There’s nothing quite like getting lost in a world filled with magic, action, and adventure. My all-time favorite book series is Harry Potter, and my absolute favorite author is Christine Feehan—her ability to weave deep, immersive stories with rich characters is something I will always admire.

I gravitate toward young adult fantasy and low to mid-spice adult fantasy that’s packed with magic, action, and unforgettable characters. Whether it's witches, fae, or powerful warriors, I love stories that transport me to a world where the impossible becomes reality.

But my love for books doesn’t stop at just reading them—I also design bookish merchandise inspired by the stories we all adore! From stunning Sarah J. Maas-inspired pieces to other magical fandoms, I pour my passion into every design. You can find my bookish creations for sale right here on my website and in my TikTok shop! And that’s not all! I’m also bringing my love for books to TikTok and this blog, where I’ll be posting book reviews, recommendations, and discussions about the stories that captivate my heart. If you love fantasy as much as I do, I’d love for you to join me in the conversation!

Beyond books and merch, I am a mom to two amazing boys and a devoted pet mom to my many adorable fur babies (who will no doubt make guest appearances on my socials). Life is always busy, but there’s always time to share the magic of storytelling.
